My cousing gave me his Garrett T3/T4 50trim turbo that only needed a repair kit, i just intalled it. now i have a Fresh rebuilt turbo for $45. A friend of mine had a toyota corolla project car that he is not going to work on it anymore so he gave me his fmic 12X20X3. This intercooler has 3in. inlets. So when i thought that I Only need to build a short route intercooler pipes, my neighbor gave me his brand new Cold air intake for his civic that he bought on ebay, Its 3in aluminium pipe that has 2, 45deg and 2, 90 deg. pipes. Still got lucky that another friend of mine gave me a 180deg. mandrel bend. This one is 2.5in. I got all these parts for free,
then my friends who works on a machine shor build me a stock manifold to t3 turbo adapter and d/p flange and everything he is also going to do all the welds. Still lucky my other cousing gave me his Tial wastegate. Its like a dream but its all true. So im goign to have a t3t4 turbo fmic and pipe with ext. wg set up for $45 everything new exept the turbo that its rebuilted.
My problems is that i dont knowif i can use the 3in pipes for the intercooler, is it too big, Will the turbo lag will hurt me,is it a good idea to put 2inch turbo compresor outlet to a 3inch intercooler pipe. And a 3inch pipe to a 52mm thorttle body?
