I dont know what to do..

Any help is appreciated, I bought a 98 gst with rod knock, it has been sitting for over a year. Changed out everything that I needed, also converted the cas to a 2ga style, couldn't find a 2gb cas, started it, ran for about 50 miles, exhaust got glowing hot from light driving, don't know why, parked it, then went to start and it would just turn but no start. Tested/swapped the resistor pack, ecu, coil pack, power unit thing right next to the coil pack, FI relay, put the 2gb style cas form a different car, still no change. i get fuel to cylinder 1 and 2 but not 3 and 4. Changed the fuel filter, swapped out injectors and still nothing on cylinder 3 and 4.. I am working on making a noid light, but my guess is I don't get signal to 3 and 4. I took out the spark plugs, turn it for a few seconds, go and look through the spark plug hole, cylinder 1 and 2 have fuel, 3 and 4 don't. Is there any other computer/chip/electrical device that it takes to open up the injector? also i took out the spark plugs, had them hooked up to the cables, had it touching the valve cover, had someone turn the key and all 4 were giving out spark.. makes me thing its not the cas but don't know anymore.. Let me know if u guys/girls know anything else i should check, thanks.

I really don't know how relevant this is but i had a problem exactly like this with my audi a4 1.8t, injectors not firing and exhaust glowing red turned out to be the map sensor, so id look at your maf could be your problem. Could be way off but its probably worth checking good luck!

not to sure this will help either but anyways i have read many posts about the cas going bad and not getting power on 2 cylinders but i think it might of not getting spark on 2 cylinders but none the less only half the engine worked id really look into the crank angle sensor and cam angle sensor... always worth a shot ..

Have you checked for 12 volts at # 3 and 4 injector clips?

Use a test light that has an LED instead of a regular bulb. Preferably one that has a power and ground lead.

Unplug the clips, turn the key on, and check for constant 12v. If you dont have power, you have a break in the wire. If you do, probe the other wire while someone tries to crank it over. If the led pulses, you have a dead injector. If not, you need to check for breaks in the wires or at the ecu or cas.
