my friend is selling me his fp green turbo for 400 bucks, i've read up on em seen nothing but great reviews and how much they cost brand new so i feel pretty lucky. i hoping to get this injector issue done this weekend so i can have the turbo in by next weekend. has anyone seen anything bad about them? and if anyone who has used or use the turbo how is ya'll results?

Got the turbo, and now I have positive confirmation on a better view of it in hand, ya'll are right it's the bullseye, with an fp manifold, so i do apologize. I just didn't want to rule out anything till I saw a better view. Everything tested out on it good, no shaft play, seals are good. So now I know what it is thanks to you all. Now does anyone know the right type of oil flow for it so I can adjust the oil regulator for when I put it on?

What do you know, Justin was correct on a turbo question... :sneaky: :thumb:

He was, I never said he was wrong. I said, I wasn't going to rule out on what I was told before till I got it in hand. So yes he was right and I know what it is now.

55-60psi max oil pressure at the inlet. Restrictor size will depend on what your oil pressure is...you don't want to over-restrict.

Oil drain should be of a large enough diameter to support the oil flow you're giving the inlet. If you're using a stainless drain, the preferred design is two 45* angles over one 90* angle as there is less flow interruption. Obviously your drain should never dip below the inlet of the pan at any point.

Alright I appreciate it. What's the minimum size injectors I should use for this turbo? I'm not going to be running that high of boost. I'm putting it on my daily driver, all my money is going to go into the other car when I can find a good shell.

Do you have some way to compensate the larger injectors?

Pretend this is a 20G....I'd suggest no smaller than 650's, but you could get away with 550's if you keep the boost under 20psi.

I'll got with the 650s. Just for the fact if I take her to track, I might want to see what she has. Were starting to find out it could be a ground in my car that's not causing the injectors to fire, so I'm wondering if I will ever get this car running again.

650s, another car to build, bigger goals with other car. . . . All the while, you could get a 16g (that you already have) that will max out 650s with your setup as is. And it would spool about 400rpms faster, net the same goal with that fuel flow; and feed from the head and drain to the oil pan like the stock 14b. And you wouldn't need to touch the intercooler piping at all. You can get those for a bit cheaper than $400. They are proven more reliable and there is no downside considering your limit of fuel supply. . . But, alas you have already purchased the turbo. . . This is really why you give yourself a goal first. THEN, buy parts to support it. . . There's no need to upgrade from the turbo you already have while running a set of 650s.

Frankly, your best bet is to sell it for a little more. And apply it to link/other, or take part of it and put toward cams for this car and the rest toward the other build. Afterall, you already have an safc.

LOL you were that bored digging up a thread. I laughed the whole time reading it though...Delusions of grandeur, uneducated bad grammar, 3k a month is apparently a BIG salary and some how he will make it to the DEA working for the feds. Arguing with Justin only to eat it later. Supposedly his friend has a 1g in the 8's...we can barely count them on 2 hands that i know of.
Even with a federal job like that with a "masters"..i doubt he will get close to 100k, used GT-Rs are still going higher than half that salary.
Call me a hater but living by Ft. Bliss, you meet a lot of guys with the same wannabee persona. DISCLAIMER: before i get bashed : 80% are cool guys serving their country and very humble about it. The other 20% openly admit they are collecting checks to do nothing like this guy said on page 1. Its pretty sad, they should appreciate it better. 3k a month can barley support a house and maybe a car hobby on the side here and there. It just makes me mad that immature people like this act this way, its very arrogant. We work and pay taxes and they dont see it that way.
I hope he did go to school and get a job so he can appreciate working for an income, or at least got deployed so he can appreciate life since he is risking his for the country.
Sorry for the rant, but i meet people like this everyday..I do have military car guys that are my friends and they are on this forum, not trying to label or offend people.

Haha I can type really well when I need to. I believe college is a lot more important than a forum on a website. That's just my opinion. Is this proper enough for you? And I should be laughing at you. Your paying for me to go to school, and my expenses with living. The 3 grand a month. Then when I'm in the DEA who do you think pays for there checks?

 This is the one that got me. Haha

While I was reading this thread, it reminded me on that "RWD 4G63 Subframe mod" topic..
Very similar posts from OP in both threads. :)
They want help and opinion from members but they won't accept it, unless it is the same way they imagined it is :)
