Car- Automatic 96 gst with 7 bolt, Small 16g turbo (12 psi spikes around 15psi), 1g BOV, K&N Air Filter, metal intake, FMIC short route, Full 3inch Exhaust, EGR block off, rebuilt head (evo 8 springs and lifters, stock cams, SS valves)

Problem- After I rebuilt the head, changed the timing components and installed a small 16g the car goes past the rev limit at WOT. With the T25 the car would shift around 7k at WOT. Now at WOT it revs past 7k and it almost reached 8k (appox 7700) before i noticed and let off the gas. At 3/4 throttle it will shift at 7k.

Wondering if anyone had any ideas on what would cause this and/or how to fix this. Thank you for any advice you can give.

Just to update. I didn't do the blue wire mod. Instead I bought a shift box from "Forced four" at WOT when I use the shift box it works GREAT. Shifts when I want it to and at full pressure.

I have no idea why it was doing it. It's an automatic so under partial throttle it shifts before redline. However at WOT it was going until I let off and than it would shift. Highest it got was near 8k. But now that I have the shift box I no longer need to worry about why LOL
