Just a quick question. when i get a gm maf should a get a 3inch or a 3.5 inch off a ls1 corvette.... thanks

I'm not sure what the limit of the 3" is, but i know i have enough air going through mine to make 500+whp and i haven't found it yet.

ok thanks.. what does the bigger maf do? just let better air flow, or is there more to it?

The 3" GM MAF limit is roughly 80 lbs/min (600 gm/sec) and the 3.5" is around 92 lbs/min (700 gm/sec) which are both well over the 600hp range.

The 3.5" GM MAF is harder to tune if you run smaller IC pipe because of the change in size, it creates turbulence and causes inconsistent readings.
