GM MAF question?

Looking into the future and possibly going to get rid if stock MAS on my 1g, there is a 3.5 GM MAF for sale on the classifieds.

Problem is it says the honeycomb is smashed and it still works..

CAN someone please tell me is this a problem or not? If not I'll buy it in a heartbeat but not having got that far in my upgrades and researching the technical aspects of the GM MAF's I don't want to waste my money if it won't work. Can't imagine some one selling it on this site unless it did, but you guys out there running this setup are the best source to my learning...

I popped the them out of mine.. I did it to two of them and they both worked fine.. just more restriction

The honey combs are just to to make sure your airflow passes through the maf evenly. Ive taken them out of every car ive ever owned, and its always worked fine Id buy it.
