The car is a 93 Talon Tsi AWD. I get no powe to the fuelo pump and no spark and also no dummy light on the dash ie. CEL, Ebrake is on, door is ajar at all. Int and ext. lights work car turns over. Have changed the ECU and the other shiny box, sorry the proper name of it slips my mind at the moment. What else should I look at or for?

When are you checking the power at hte fuel pump? The fuel pump will only power up when the car is turning over, so you will need to have your volt meter on it while somebody is turning the car over. Chances are you will notice power there I think and your just not getting spark.

If your not getting spark then I would try swapping out some parts and see how that works. If you know anybody with the same car trade coil packs and ignitors. I have seen quite a few times where the ignitor plug just needs to be taken off and put back on solidly again and it fixes the problem. Ignitor is the long skinny small thing with about 8-10 wires coming out of it all in a row.

And to add to dsmjim, the ignitor is located on the driver side rear of the engine just below the plug for the coil pack.
