Hi,

Does anyone have a non-cruise throttle cable that they have laying around that they can part with? We need a throttle cable. Dig in your mounds of DSM parts and see if you can find us one. Thank you in advance.:hellyeah:

Best wishes,
Brad Pate

The cable is packaged and ready to ship out i will try to have it out in the morning but if not it will be shipped out tomorrow. I will be there at MIR to see both of you and the car run. Wendy has helped me out in more then one occasion. Its ashame i didnt get to meet you 2 at the showdown. Hang in there we are all pulling for you .

Way to go Matt...:thumb:

I texted you from E-town yesterday but you didn't respond.

Matt,

Thank you so much! This is one of those items that gets overlooked and Im glad Jason has stayed on me about it. I cannot express enough gratitude to you and how this is going to pull Wendy through this rough time.

Sandra,

Sorry I havent responded to you and Shawn. Wendy loves the t-shirt that you sent her. She hasnt had the opportunity to wear it yet but I assure you she will as soon as the time comes. That was super thoughtful! She loves DSM t-shirts, hoodies, and things with turbos on them.:D

Best wishes,
Brad Pate

I dont know you or wendy and this whole or-deal stinks i feel you though i lost my fiance' 3 years ago and she was a dsm queen/ she was one of the best women drivers i ever seen and loved cars. she Died in my 05 evo 8 an accident took her life. the only thing i have left to give is a aluminum rad curt brown gave me. but it looks like you have one! however my friend tuned my brothers car, Pat Donaldson, 16g awd world record holder!{www.dsmtimes.org} 10.34 @ 133.... and he tunes Curt Brown, i want to show him this thread, maybe he could tune wendys car he has a Dyno....Its really great what everyone is doing.. its hope, its a selfless act of everyone.... its awesome that everyone is helping, i hope you and wendy get there!

Brad It's no big deal. I have learned in my few 39 years of life that it's the small acts of kindess that make this place better for all of us. And also the ones that will make Wendy's ordeal a little more tolerable. Hey tell her we had a personal best this past weekend at Englishtown for the Fall Nationals, 149.30 mph. Adam from Carolina dsm was with us this weekend, and we were discussing the build. Wendy weather she knows it or not, has a hell of a lot of people pulling for her.

You are very welcome im just glad I could help, I just shipped it out at lunch time so it should be there in the next few days. If there is anything else I can do just let me know. The way everyone has come together in your time of need has made me proud to be apart of this community.

WOW Sandra.

You guys are doing big things! I will have to tell Wendy when she gets up from her chemo induced sleep. I know there are alot of people pulling for her. She is really tackling this disease head on. Have any video?

BTW, I need to ask you something. I will PM you.

Thank you!

Best wishes,
Brad Pate

sending you a pm,i live right down the street from you guys,on georgia. ive talked to you over on importsnc and am here to help out.

Brad,

I haven't posted on here very often lately, but I had one of my really good friends tell me about this post and I was shocked. Me and my friends had known of Wendy for years, when we were all posting on PerformanceFreaks. I can tell you though that she was an inspiration for me being a newbie in the DSM circles, especially with the amazing things she has done on just a 16g! It's amazing how tight this community actually is, and that is just one more reason why I've had such a hard time switching platforms, because other people just don't understand. I hope all goes well, and you and your family are in my thoughts. Good luck on the build, I can't wait to see it completed.

IMORTANT INFO

Just to let you guys and gals know. I received a phone call today from California. I looked at my cell phone and didnt know who it was. I answered and it was Luke at Import Tuner magazine. He is so totally amazed at how the DSM community has come together and we talked for 20 minutes about Wendy's car and the progress. I sent him build photos and he asked what was left that we needed. Our biggest concern being axles. I told him we needed something that could handle ( 600 hp fingers crossed) Let me tell you that he is an awesome guy and is willing to contact vendors himself to see this happen. He said that it was going to be a documentary and couldnt wait to see Wendy behind the wheel. I wanted to thank Luke on here but Im not sure that he is a member. Reguardless, I cant wait to see this in the magazine! :hellyeah:

Pictures coming Sunday. Stay tuned.

Best wishes,
Brad Pate

You are very welcome, keep updating the part list and i will see what else i can find for you. Make sure you let us know what issue and and month to look out for so we know when to get a copy.

Is that the magazine that contacted you about doing a story, or is there more than one?

This is the magazine that I had people send thier photo portfolios for. I wasnt able to tell people due to it possibly not happening or someone else getting the story. I did that out of request of Luke.

Wendy is in the hospital again. Last night, I had went to bed around 10:30 and around 12:00 I heard her in the living room crying from the pain and throwing up in a tray. I was going to take her but she requested I call the ambulance. This way she didnt have to wait in the emergency room for several hours before being seen. This chemo is really the big guns of chemo. It has been the same everytime she has it. Days after chemo she ends up in the hosital for several days to manage the pain and the nausea. :ohdamn:

Best wishes,
Brad Pate

More photos:

It is really coming along, I had to leave early because Wendy is still in the hopsital. I have sent all the IC piping to JNZ for welding and powder coating ( black chrome). This engine bay is going to be really nice! The pictured manifold was the original but FP sponsored their manifold and they drop shipped it to JNZ to be ceramic coated the same color. BTW, the special plug cover ( Wendy knows nothing about this) was done by STEVE S, "steve93talon", her brother.

5th pic is my favorite

Looks like it's coming along nicely. Can't wait to see it started up and running and hoping it makes the target goal....and hope she's able to drive it.

Is there any more of those group funded parts going on? I would love to help out but cant donate any big parts. Maybe i could help donate some money for the purchase of a bigger part. Or if you have a specific part you need i could try and create a fund for that part? Your story is truly inspiring, even to a broke college kid.
Sincerely
Jackson
