We are going to paint the car factory black. Take it back to its original luster as when Wendy got the car before I flat blacked it. Needless to say she wasnt very pleased that I took the gloss away but the car was starting to look bad. The car should take minimal prep other than a few dings and the spot on the passenger side behind the door. Im not sure that you have the original black? Reguardless, thank you for your interest in helping out. Fingers crossed that you have it.

The only black I have is black albany pearl but idk if I still have it I will double check to see if I have anyother blacks.

Thank you for asking. Wendy has been really sick since Tuesday due to the dye they used for contrast. She is feeling a little better today but still really run down. Monday is the start of another chemo session and its really going to be tough on her because they are increasing the potentcy of the Topetecan. Dr. G is going really evasive at this time. Word has it that she will start the Avastin ( clinical trial drug) on her next chemo go round. Please just keep Wendy in your thoughts and she is fighting!!!

I have sat here for the last couple of hours reading all the posts, all I can Say is WOW. I have been in tears one second and goosebumps the next. I knew this board was a helping/caring group of members but all I can say is wow. Hats off to all the supporting vendors and people that are making this possible. I wanted to take a minute and tell ALL OF YOU to pat yourselves on the back for making this happen for Wendy. You guys/gals are all bada$$ in my book. Wendy this message is for you don't give up I don't care how hard it gets, were all praying for you to pull through and keep fighting

I'm gonna have my shop possibly be doing some polishing for Wendy can you guys give me some ideas if a couple things I can polish, I see the turbo, intake manifold and intercooler piping are already polished but maybe like the left and right side motor mounts, or some brackets.... im not too sure what do you guys think?? Mostly like anything aluminum and stainless. Let myself or Brad know and he will get back to me.

Hey Sean,

The remaining things left are the fuel system needs to be done from the tankto the rail. Still waiting on the parts ( donated by Garfield at Tuners Nation). The tranny is being held up at Shep's shop because we are waiting on Frank at DSS to contact him about which seals to use in the tranny. I was hoping to know something today but.......That should be it under the hood. DYNO time. The cage needs to be welded in and the car needs to go to paint.

We need a check valve to complete the fuel system. Its Summit part # Aero15107 (-10 AN)

We are so ready for this car to crank!!!

We are hoping that Steve S. ( Steve93talon), Wendy's brother will be able to fly down and tune the car.

Update on Wendy

As of yesterday, the Zimmer Cancer Center in conjuction with Wendy's doctor have been able to get the clinical trial drug Avastin. Wendy started this treatment yesterday. They have stopped the Cisplatin and have combined the Avastin with the Topetican. Wendy seems to tolerate this combination better than the previous combo. She has gained a small amount of weight back which is a great thing. They have also started another injection on the first day of chemo. This injection is to elevate her red blood cell count. Then she receives another shot for 10 days to elevate her white blood cell count. I am extremely thankful for positive results thus far. I will keep everyone posted on her condition as day 8 comes. Which is the peak time, of the major side effects, will rear its ugly head.

I remember Wendy from back when I first got my 98 GSX, we used to chat via AIM from time to time. She would always give advice and lend her knowledge at a moments notice. Amazing girl and a truely amazing member of the car community.

If I'm not mistaken, she invited me to your local car forum "HorsepowerFreaks" I believe, everyone would wonder what a guy from Oregon was doing in your local forum.

Wendy, you're in my thoughts and I pray to see this cancer get curbed-stomped.

I shipped off the fuel system on Tuesday to Weir Auto. I spoke to Brian & asked him to give me a call when the pkg shows up. I sent it 2nd day air & it should have arrived today. If not it should be there tomorrow the latest. Good luck & keep us posted on the progress.

Hi all,

We are extremely sorry!!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that Wendy and I will not be at MIR next weekend. Reasons being: The car is close to being ready to fire but as you all know, I'm sure there will be some kinks to overcome. Also, the car has to go to the dyno for tuning. Then the car has to be dropped off tho have the cage welded in. Then, the car will need to be dropped off at the paint shop. Biggest reason is Wendy isnt doing very well currently. The last 4 days she has been in ALOT of pain. She has slept most of the days but I am grateful she is not in the hospital. She will be in no condition to drive and she will need to get some seat time in before any attempts to doing any full pulls in it. I beleive that it was wishfull thinking that the car would be even close to being ready in such a short time. We are very thankful for what each and everyone of you have done.

Let me assure you, when the car is ready, she will be ready *fingers crossed*

Please continue to keep Wendy in your thoughts and prayers.

Update on Wendy:

Wendy was given a shot on Monday called Procrit. This injection is to increase her red blood cell count. Wednesday she started to feel the side effects which is severe bone pain. On top of all that she is going through she has Fibromyalgia. She is a real trooper. I cannot express how it is to watch her go through all this. Wednesday till today she has pretty much just slept and taken pain meds every 2 to 3 hours to manage. I was able to get her in the van last night and our oldest son drove the van while I walked with Brax and Bray. I am thankful that she didnt miss out on Brays really first Halloween that he could enjoy. I just want my Wife and friend back. She never leaves the house unless its to go to the hospital. I just ask those of you that are religious to just pray for her everyday. Those that are not please just keep her in your thoughts.

Side note: Anyone have an extra manual boost contoller. I was contact by a vendor about sponsoring one but now there is no response after several attempts to contact them.

The car is pretty much the same way you guys and gals saw from the last pictures. The fuel items have arrived form Tuners Nation. Big thanks to Garfield again. The transmisson will be here mid week along with the axles. We are getting really close to firing the car up, then off to the dyno.

Sorry to hear the car & Wendy won't be able to compete in that event. There's an NSCRA event @ Palm Beach International Raceway (Formerly Moroso Motorsports Park) on December 5, 2009. If by any chance you think you guys can make it, just let me know & I'll take care of the entry fees. Here's a link to the event. Th NSCRA event would be an excellent oppertunity for Wendy to make her debut. That is also the week of PRI in Orlando. John Brown and PBIR has done a great job with the NSCRA.
Wendy, I saw Brads post. We will get you down the track when you and th car are both 100% percent. And I WILL be there., no matter where it is or when it is. Everything is in the Lord's hands right now. Don't question it just go with it. I know it's easier said then done but we are all here for you.
