Hi everyone,

I wanted to come and tell everyone that Wendy has been in and out of the hospital for the last 2 days with SEVERE pain. This is a new pain in her lower abdomen. They have been giving her delouted and morphine to be able to control the pain. Wendy has a CT scan scheduled for 8AM in the morning and I am extremely worried! I ask that each of you keep her in your thoughts or prayers. We do not need anymore bad news. I pray that it is a reference pain from the cancerous lesions being killed. I will keep everyone posted to what is discovered.

I thank you all for what you have done to bring this build to where it is currently. The rewards will be seen by the end of the month. I hope to have the car on the dyno and tuned by Dec 1.

Until the update on Wendy's condition, I send you all the best wishes!

Hi everyone,

Today was the NC/SC meet at Fayetteville Dragway. Wendy and I dropped the boys off at her Moms for the day and we started off to the track. Needless to say, I ended up taking her home because she didnt feel well. I was going to stay home with her. She insisted that I go because I had been talking about it for sometime now. I am glad that I went. I saw some amazing passes today.

Brian and Jason Wier went from WAR. Brain had some tranny issues and it wouldnt shift out of 1st so it went back on the trailer. Jason did make some passes and he had a best of 9.94 in the street car with full interior, A/C, power steering, etc....

Shawn and Sandra "Boost boys and Girlz" drove down from Maryland. It was nice to finally meet Shawn and put a face with a voice. I think axles hate them. They broke yet another DSS stage 2 axle. They did get to make some passes with the car but had to baby it out of the whole. That thing is a beast on the big end!

Best pass of the day was fom a red 2g form GA. This thing was truly amazing! BW 74mm, direct port NOS, 5spd. Unofficial time that I remember was 8.82 @167. WOW!!!

The STM "Ricer" blue evo was there. What a beautiful car. They were there making some test and tune passes with it. They bested a 9.74 @??? cant remember the MPH.

Wendy starts Chemo tomorrow yet again. Also, we hope to have the results from her CT scan that was done on Friday. I hope to have some answers about why she has this new pain in her lower abdomen. I will post tomorrow once I know something.

I don't have a dsm any more, and most of us are Nissan owners, but I still have plenty of parts left over from my DSM build a couple years ago and we got plenty of universal stuff for the Nissans, so if there's anything you still need, I'll continuously check if we got it and will send it right away

Hi everyone,

The last 3 days have been total HELL! Monday the results came back from Wendy's CT scan. It is frightening yet unclear. The report from the Radiologist that read the scan was the cancer is progressive. This is the frightening part. The unclear part is this scan was read by a different person than the original CT scan. Measurements of the largest cancerous cells was read anterior vs. postierior original scan. I read both result reports and yes the measurements are larger by millimeters. On top of all this, Wendy has been having this new lower abdomen and lower back pain. This was reported as radiation related from her original treatment of cervical cancer. I feel that this is an accurate reason for the pain. After researching numerous cancer patients and their report of the same after the same treatment.

It has been extremely disheartening to hear Wendy say that I need to learn to drive her car. Let me tell you, I have no interest and I am driving her to keep pushing forward and kicking this cancer right in the ASS. I do feel that once the car is running she will really be estatic and I wont be able to keep her from behind the wheel.

I have received all the remaining parts to get this car running on Sunday. I will have the video tape running once the attempt is made. Once it is running, the following weekend it will be on the dyno at National Speed. Then get her behind the wheel to get some seat time.

Sorry it has taken so long to post an update on Wendy but it has been a tough last 3 days. She is tough and we remain optimistic and she said she will continue treatment as long as it takes. This is straining her because of quality of life. Im sure she asks herself everyday. Is this worth feeling bad ALL the time? She use to have decent days but those arent often anymore. Lets all keep her going and please keep the comments coming. I do read them to her. Thank you all.

Well, my g/f gives me hell about the comment I made earlier in this post. Something I said about you having the perfect wife. Lol. Her being a dsm'er and into cars and all....cause my g/f is not. But was just trying to give ya a compliment that you're a lucky man to have such a woman and it totally sucks that she has to be going thru all this.

I check up on this post from time to time although I don't read every single post but I do think about the situation as well as the build and I sure hope that both of the goals are achieved for you and her. To have the car reach the numbers you're looking for, and her kick Cancer's ass!!! Would almost like to see a tv show made on this and have it dedicated to her. Kinda like that house building show. But of course I don't have cable so I wouldn't be able to see it. But I'm sure she'd be a big inspiration to others if she can just pull thru this. I know she has to have a lot of reasons to fight this.

Im sorry to hear that. Its tough to hang in a situation like that. Stay strong and pray pray pray. Bless her heart. She still young. Let her know that i said shes special to our dsm community. my mom told me that seeds from the inside of peach pits contain b17 that fights cancer. Im not sure if its true or what. Mom also told me the monkeys eat only the seeds inside the peach pits as well. Good luck!

I did receive a new and innovative catch can from JCS Automation. This particular one is 2-1/2" X 2-1/2"X 6" with internal filter. 1/2 FNPT inlet/outlet ports, 1/4" FNPT drain port, "boiler style" sight glass with reflector, standard mounting bracket, and polished. Thats good to hear that you have the rest of the parts for the car. But it does sucks to hear about the past couple of days. I believe that once she hears the car start for the first time she will want to jump behind the wheel the first time she gets a chance.

I'm so sorry to hear about your fight with cancer. I know what your going through because my grandmother is fighting it also. I just found out about you and your love for DSM's. I think that it is awesome that you have so many people praying for you daily and helping you fight. I will add another prayer for you to make it through this and make your 10sec pass. Keep fighting and all your dreams will come true. The car looks to be ready for a 10sec pass so just hang in there. I hope that you feel good enough to go and start your car this weekend. UPDATE:

Wendy has been in the hospital yet again since Friday morning due to SEVERE pain again. I am really beginning to worry alot and catch myself tearing up because its so hard to see her like this. I am unable to visit up there often because I cannot take the kids up there. Hospital policy is no one under the age of 18 is allowed in patient areas due to the flu and H1N1 virus. This is understandable but very frustrating. Thank you all for all the nice things you have to say and also people still wanting to help out.

I did get to the WAR shop today and everything is all done. Can you believe we are missing ONE fuel fitting to get the car to crank.

Another week will pass before we will have it running. I did get some pictures today but forgot the camera that Steve sent. My phone takes horrible pictures!!! Alot of wire tucking to be done and cleaning of the engine bay BUT atleast everything is wired and ready to go. When we get that fitting, that sucks! We are looking at the first weekend in Dec. to get the car to the dyno. I will continue to keep everyone posted.

One last thing.........o2 sensor needed, if anyone has one laying around.

You sent everything that I ordered from you. Thank you for everything! It is the fitting that goes in the inlet of the fuel rail. It has been drilled and tapped for NPT. We will have it for sure for Sunday.

You are a Godsend. I do know you would be right on a plane. I am hopeful that they release her tomorrow only if this new medicine they started today will work. The are trying another approach via nerve receptors. The drug is not a opiate (like oxycontin) but it works on the other spectrum side of the nerve to stop the pain. I was listening and understand but unfortunately I cannot verbate.

I will continue to post Wendys progress and condition. I do thank you all that are concerned!

Oh, also, look at the 4th picture down on the thread above. The oil sending sensor has to be removed and plugged also because the Alt. belt will not go on. Agggg

Today is Friday the 27th, I am posting this way because I didnt know if it would merge with the above post.

Wendy is back in the hospital. The ambulance picked her up this morning around 11. Im not sure really what to say at this point. I do not understand why they cannot manage the pain better at home. Hospice has already been brought up and that brings tears to my eyes. She never has a good day anymore and is in constant pain. Her quality of life is just crap and she is doing all this for her family. I ask myself, is the family asking her to stay here? Is she ready to go?
