Oh my God. That's so sad. My sympathies go to the Pate family. I can't even begin to imagine what they are going through. I kept up with Wendy's post since the beginig hoping and praying that she would make it through this tough time. She is definitley in a better place. This from the beging has been one of the most amazing stories I've ever read. Both my wife and I when explaied to her what was going on and what has happened now, lost it . I didn't personally know Wendy but know that she was a trully remarkable person and I know that her Legacy will stay alive in her family and in Our hearts forever.

Very very sad. wasnt expecting to read this. I highly feel for the family. I lost a very close uncle to cancer two months ago. The rest in peace is much beter than the pain that is cause by the cancer. My condolances go to the family. Just don't give up.

Wow. This is just horrible news. I never met Wendy, but have kept up with the build and really admired her passion and dedication. I'm actually writing this with tears in my eyes, all over someone I've never had the pleasure of meeting even. She was a fighter for sure, a lot tougher than I could ever imagine to be. I can guarantee I will be reminded of her every time I am at the track, and I know somehow she will be there with all of us watching and cheering us on. My prayers go out to Brad and all of Wendy's family and friends. This is a very sad time in the DSM community

RIP WENDY !!!!! I wasn't able to pitch in with any parts and what-not as i've been out of the DSM scene for quite some time now but I must say GOD BLESS TO EVERYONE THAT GOT INVOLVED !!!!!!! Truely amazing guys......Seems like sometime down the road it would be nice to see this car with some type of rememberance paint scheme...My prayers go out to brad's family and I hope you can get thru these tough times ! Over at mitsu-media we are working on a decal to be made in rememberance of Wendy as we speak. It will end up being $5 a sticker, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Pate family. The design should be done soon, and we plan on going around the forums asking for people to purchase them as well. Just thought you should know.

My heart dropped when I read this. I followed this story all the way through and it was such an inspiration. RIP Wendy... I hope your story lives on and the car still goes 10's cause I know you will be watching.
