Getting back to work tomorrow

I've been a member of these forums for a while now. I have been here off and on for the past couple years and now I have a chance to get back to working on my DSM. I have a 92 TSi Turbo that was having quite a few issues when I stopped driving it. It ran great for a few months after I finished replace everything and fixing all the leaks. When I stopped driving it I was having issues with bad idle, horrible acceleration and extremely bad gas mileage. I think it's running rich but I'm not positive. I've had the computer fixed and I checked the O2 sensor not too long ago to make sure it's running correctly. I have a logger but the battery in it no longer holds a charge and I'm working on figuring that out. When I did have the logger hooked up I noticed it would get some pretty bad knock and it would retard the timing a lot sometimes. Any advice on what it could be would help.

Have you checked your alternater? Best thing save up for is a wideband, but I would do it when you get an exhaust. If its stock there only a few bugs that probably need looked into. I am free all the time if you need any help let me know I can come take a look.

That would be awesome if you could come check it out. I've been having so many issues lately and I can't figure it out. I charged up my battery and filled my oil up last night. Went to start it today and it wont stay running, I have to keep pumping the gas to get it running and it sputters insanely bad. When I keep my foot on the gas it stays at about 2k rpm and sputters constantly then when I let my foot off the gas it dies. I recorded a video and I can post it as soon as I get it off my phone

I drained the tank and put new gas in it today. I found my boost leak tester and I'm going to check for leaks in a bit

I did a boost leak test today from the throttle body elbow. The system doesn't hold pressure at all and I can't figure out where it is leaking. I know one source is through one of the small hoses to the air can. I would have to plug it when I was doing the boost leak test to see where else it was leaking. The second spot sounds like it's somewhere around the exhause manifold or turbo area but it's not a hissing noise. It sounds like all the air is going into the engine because it's a deep noise not a hiss like a leak. I sprayed soapy water everywhere but didn't find anything. Anyone who has an idea of what it could be let me know
