Gettin a '92 Eclipse N/T and need q's answered

ok guys, the day has finally come. I found a 1st gen dsm. FINALLY! after 6 months of searching and saving, i found a 1992 eclipse for $500. It looks good, but i guess the engine needs some work. It needs a new timing chain, alternator, crank pulley(i think) but the guy said it will turn over, but wont start. So im guessing either its not getting spark, compression, or spark, or all. so im gonna pick it up tuesday, and i have a few questions. 1.Im deciding to probably do an engine swap. This one from Karking.
2. Will this engine fit on the tranny of the 92 eclipse? or will i have to find a different one?

Any one of these, not a galant 4G63, just buy the one for your car, it'll be easier to deal with. And if the guy says it needs a new timing belt, then that may mean he snapped the old one, and ruined the head, so Id look at that car, and if the body and interior arent like beat to hell and not rusted and looking good, then buy it for $500, but if not, then offer him like $250, ESPECIALLY if the body is messed up and the engine is bad.

ok i bought it. ill post pics soon. I guess I mis-interpreted what the guy said. It just needs to be timed, needs a battery, rotors, and pads. Thats it. the interior is great. It could use a paintjob, but there are no dents or rust on the car AT ALL. so, im gonna see if i can get it to run, if not, then ill do an engine swap.
