Gear grinding

Whats up?

My names steve ...i stay in nebraska i just bought a 98 gst ..i just picked up t3/t4 turbo kit as well..however before i put it in i wanna get a tune up and get everything else thats wrong with it fixed.When i shift into second it makes a grinding sound as if the clutch isnt in all the way but i tried flooring it and i still get this sound?????? can anyone tell me what it is and how to fix it!!!!????????

these cars are known for doing that.. just change the tranny oil to a good one and hope it works

Hope that works if not your looking at a worn out syncro.

my buddy is having the same problem with 2nd (all other gears are fine) on my old talon that i sold him. it gave me problems before but i adjusted it under the shifter boot and it goes away for a few months and then comes back.....?

2nd gear synchros in these cars are garbage.

I would have to say synchro as well my 420a did this only in 3rd gear though just got my gst and havent had problems yet (knock on wood)
