went to put gas the other day at night and when i turned my car on the gauges didn't want to light up and my tail lights didn't light up either my head lights worked fine just gauges and tail lights.... im thinking its a fuse

i have the same problem!!... possible short circuit.. anytime i pull the highbeam lever, enough b4 it clicks, all my gauges and taillights are out or when i signal and the lever comes back, again all off until i play wit the lever and it comes back... its annoying and dangerous at night if someone doesnt see me.. bang!

odd. i have a '96 gs that does the same thing every once in awhile. all the lights work when they want to. i was thinking about it the other... could it possibly be the switch? i mean like... the whole turn signal/headlight/high beam assembly? if it's bad it could not be sending the signals like it's supposed to? maybe? i dunno... i hate messing with tracing wires so i want it to be something easy :)

Check the IG fuse i think it is. My brothers car had the same problem. Turned out to be the ig fuse in his car. It's an integra though. Just some clues! It's a big fuse where the lights run through!

lame... i hate chasing wires. i'd rather put in a turn signal switch anyday :( but now that you mention it... i have had some issues with the wires in the back... the sockets were getting HOT because something with the wires was up. guess i'll go tear apart my hatch again... one day. :)

mine was on the passenger side. i only noticed it because the gauges still worked but all the lights on the tails were out. i was driving by a building with a lot of windows and i didnt see any light from the back of my car. i pulled over and sure as heck they were not on.

at first i thought fuse. sure as heck it was blown. replaced it turned everything on and they work. turn the turn signal on they all died and the fuse was blown. so i thought it was a light. checked my lights they were all fine. so then knowing it was something with the rear... took all the duct tape off the wiring in the rear... (don't ask why but started on the passenger side). didnt notice anything at all until i started taping it back up with fresh new tape. then bam i found it. 1 stupid wire was causing a short.

Replace the Tail Light fuse under the hood. The reason why the dash lights don't work either is that they're on the same circuit. Therefore if you're driving and your tail lights go out then you'll know since the dash lights will go out as well.
