I have a 91 talon tsi and have a dual gauge pod for the a pillar. The 2 gauges I have is an oil pressure gauge and a Boost gauge. I was wondering where you think each gauge should go. Boost in top or boost in bottom?

FYI - Gauge is spelled GAUGE not GUAGE.

I have single gauge pod but, if if I had a dual, I'd have it in the bottom so I don't have to focus in and out when I look at the boost and all the other gauges in the cluster. It depends on what you prefer and what you like. Just cause 30 people put it in the top hole, doesn't mean you have it.

Sorry honest mistake. I just cant decide on where I want it.

Whichever is more convenient for you. I only have boost because it's the only one I need. Everything else is already monitored.

My personal opinion is that it doesn't matter. I'd probably put it in the top one as it'd be easier to glance at when going WOT without taking my eyes off the road. Oil pressure doesn't (shouldn't) change as often, so a quick glance to see that it is in proper range is easy in either position.

put that crap in the top hole, or get a single gauge pod and mount the boost gauge on your steering column. That's the only gauge you need!!!!!......................oil pressure is overrated. Get an EGT gauge to fill the bottom hole.
Yea umm...its not overrated when your oil pressure guage is a floater. I'd like to know what my motor is doing. Please stick to the topic.

Umm no. EGT is mostly worthless since low or high readings can be caused by a number of different variables and not one thing only.

The leading causes of trashed motors are excessive water temp, knock and insufficient oil pressure. I monitor those and boost and it's more than enough although a wideband is a great idea. Lose a motor to low oil pressure and then tell me it's overrated.

For the original poster, I run my oil pressure in the top, water temp in the middle and boost on the bottom. Then again with an external gate and no MBC I see the same boost levels consistently and hardly even look at the boost gauge anymore.
