Gasket set

Hey guys, just got my head back from the machine shop. Apparently this is the second time its been ground. I'm looking for some info on gasket sets and such. As far as head gaskets, I understand the Fel-Pro is problematic and I'd like to find one thats makes up for some of the possible clearance issues from the machine work. If the rest of the gaskets can be had in a set, the whole upper engine that would be great. Some part #s or vendors would be real helpful. Thanks ahead of time.

How much has been milled off the head do you know?

fel-pro HG is one of the perfered HG to use.

The only "thicker" HG you will find is the Cometic MLS, But keep in mind if you go with a MLS both the head and block surfaces need to be prepped properly.

Next, HOW was you head surfaced?

If it looks like the first pic in this thread, just stop and have it surfaced properly.

That one has the MLS head gasket in it.

Price seems ok.... But check with Supporting vendors and see what they can do for you.

I have heard a lot of bad things about Fel-Pro aka"fail-pro" gaskets. But this is just hear say. I went with an OEM gasket set. I'm glad that I did now, not a single leak.
