I was curious if anyone was running this motor and what kind of horsepower people are making. I have a g4cs block with a stock 2.4 liter, 6 bolt crank. It is a built motor with all supporting mods. The car makes 473whp on 93 octane, and that was on a mustang dyno. I wanted to switch to e85 and that will probably put me somewhere around 550ish and I was concerned it that is too much for a stock 2.4l crank. I know the 2.0l crank can handle pretty much anything, but not sure about the 2.4l. Thanks.

Okay that sounds good. I'm a little less concerned now. Thanks.

Depends, anyway. It's all in the trust of your tune and build, and the quality of the crank you've got in there in the first place. Was it from a beaten-to-death used engine? Was it checked for balance, trueness, etc etc etc ad nauseum? You can pop a 6 bolt crank at 300hp with an improper build, out of spec components, or tune.

The short block was put together by Class One in Freeport, Illinois. So I'm confident the build was done properly. The tune was done by Devin at Boostin Performance, so that should be good also.
