hey guys, i just want to know if the g4cp block is exactly the samething as the 4g63. i spun a balance shaft bearing on my 4g63 and a friend of mine has an extra g4cp block laying around, claims to be the exact samething but just want to make sure.what u guys think?

ive allready looked around and seen that they are the same but doesnt hurt to double check.

Did you catch the bearing without destroying the rest of the engine? If thats the only thing thats wrong, why not just put a balance shaft delete kit in and keep on goin?

When the bearing is spun in the block the bore for the bearing is damaged. The makes it hard to block off the oiling hole because the the hole is too big for the block off bearing to be installed. It all depends on whether or not it is the front or rear shaft of coarse.
