FWD pros and cons

Besides the obvious what are some pros and cons of FWD > AWD does anybody know how much lighter a FWD is? I tried searching for this and couldnt find much.. And wouldn't FWD generally have higher Top End. Sorry for my last conversion thread thanks for the links to the other threads.

As far as the weight, the factory curb weight for a 2g FWD mid model is about 2900 lbs and about 3,000 lbs for the upper model (more features). Compare that to the 2g AWD which is about 3,200 lbs.
