Has anyone seen a fw to aw conversion done on a 2g? I looked around all i could find is 1g* info

I didn't even think this swap was possible on a 1g

Anything's possible given the time, money & fabrication talent needed to accomplish it. It's just not something that could be considered a "bolt-on" type of job. The differences in the 1G FWD & AWD unibody are drastic enough that it's not worth the effort to try & do. It's way easier (not to mention cheaper) to just buy a 1g AWD in the first place than to try and make your own.

The 2g would be simple to do in comparison to a 1g. Easy no. But your best bet would be to find a fully intact 2g AWD and take some fabrication classes at your local college. You will have to cut part of the trunk and reweld. It would most likely be easier and posibly even more cost effective to just buy an AWD and be done. The only way I could see it being cheaper would be if you got both full cars at a steal of a price.
