Google search yielded nothing. Basically I want to vent my BOV but I don't want to be running rich. Can I simply custom-fabricate some mounting brackets and put my MAS onto the upper intercooler pipe (right by intake), or is there something else that needs to be done?

I don't think that would be possible. I believe the MAS is meant to be used only before the turbo. If you're really bent on venting properly you can use a GM maf & translator which you can mount after the compressor bypass valve. Anyways, it flows and meters air much better than the Mitsu MAS.

I'm pretty sure you can move it wherever you wanted as long as it was before the turbo, such as in a custom cold air set-up.

What the hell is a bypass compressor valave?

What's a GM maf & translator ?

Thanks!

The MAS is meant to measure air being sucked through it, it will not read the airflow correctly in a pressurized situation.

A compressor bypass valve is another term for a blow off valve.

As for the Maf-t and translator do a search...

Well, a compressor bypass valve is what you're trying to vent. If you're thinking about venting the stock one I wouldn't suggest it. I don't suggest venting it at all with the Mitsu mass air sensor since it will reduce your car's performance. The GM maf is General Motor's air metering device used on alot of their cars. The GM maf translator receives signals from the GM maf and translates it into Mitsu language for our ECU.

Searching will tell you all you will need to know.
