...venting my stock 2g pos bov to the aptnosphere, yes i know thats a bigbut i figured i'd give it a shot...
You answered your own question.
Then again, that's how that valve is designed to operate....when it's recirculated, this is never an issue.....it does stumble after acceleration but thats only because the damn bov is half way open at idle allowing unmetered and unfiltered air into the engine, of course its going to run weird.
Buy a $20 1G BOV on eBay, recirculate it, and use the money you would've spent on a garbage Greddy valve to put a USEFUL MOD on your car.
Sure....the air it's releasing has already been metered, so the ECU has already accounted for that when it adjusts your fuel trims. It may not hurt anything when it dumps because you're off the throttle....but when you get back on the throttle, expect it to be sluggish for a second before it begins to pull again.....do you guys see any problems with venting to the atmosphere with a bov that isn't going to be open unless releasing air?
but i figured i'd give it a shot...
Why must people argue this? Do it right, do it once.
