Well, I have this thing sitting on a shelf at my parents house:

FP Big 16g. Bought it new. less than a month of use on it. it has slightly nicked fins from manifold slag. I'm getting it redone for $160. FP wants $400, not happening. I figure it's sell it or fix it and use it.

so, the required FMIC, injectors, FPR, and other items will be gathered......DSMlink V3 is sitting in a box in my room.

i'm in NO hurry. my T-25 is tight.

EDIT: Turbo is fixed.

-I picked up some el-cheapo Pioneer TS speakers as the stockers are just poo poo at this point. Much better. I want a sub, but the stock radio is too iconic and it will remain until i HAVE to have a pioneer go in....ROFL

-Bought a Gates Blue Timing belt as mine is wearing on the edge. I think i'm gonna have a buddy who works at a shop do the work....i'm not feeling a timing belt change at all on this car.

You don't need a FMIC or a AFPR to run a 16G. If I were you, I would get that 16G on ASAP. The T-25 is a pathetic excuse for a turbo, and if you don't agree with me then you don't know what fast is.

I think it's a good idea for him to get all his ducks in a row, his t25 is still good for now, no point in throwing the 16g on with nothing to support it.

I know what fast is. an EVO running 27PSI, chirping 2nd and almost 3rd BARELY gives me a lil rush. it takes over 500HP to get my nerves going. that or a shitload of twisties. I can resist the urge to go nuts now that i am older. I find my fragility more evident after my flipping my GS-T last year.

There is NO reason to just throw a big 16g on without supporting mods. NONE. I want to do this car correctly. shit, it makes me wary not having better head studs yet.

The T-25 will heatsoak a stock SMIC at more than 15PSI. running a 16G on a SMIC is asking for even more heatsoak. Running it at 20PSI is stupid unless u have a FMIC. I am looking at the VRSF as its the shortest.

I have found a set of denso 660 inj for $120 slightly used. I will need am FPR with them and DSMlink to accurately get my fuel flow or i will dump too much fuel even when tuned.

I need to do the 3g lifters as mine are noisy. while I'm in there I would LIKE to do BC 272/272 street cams. it would be easy when doing the lifters.

I have been like a sponge on tuners, talk, and other forums. I am gonna do this the right way.

I would get a set of regrinds from ffwd or delta, less money and they will out perform the BC cams

Don't get me wrong, I know the importance of supporting mods. It took me all summer to get everything I thought I might need to install my 16G. I wanted to do it right too. When I did get it done, I couldn't be happier.

If your using the car for road racing then you may NEED a FMIC, but everything else it's not necessary. My buddy takes his Galant VR-4 to the track all the time with the stock front mount. I don't know if you know how small that thing is, but lets just say its the size of an oil cooler. With that tiny intercooler he was able to run mid 13's with his 14b (21 psi) on an 80 degree night. Its better to keep the stock side-mount than get some crappy ebay front mount that will flow worse than the side-mount.

Still don't know why you need a AFPR, thats what Link is for. I only got mine because everyone told me that a wally 255 would overwhelm the stock one, but on a 2G, a stock FPR in good condition will hold up fine.

I hear ya on the lifters and cams, I can't wait to do my cams, lifters, and evo behives.

My headstuds are fine on 25 psi(for now at least), but my clutch isn't.:ohdamn:

hes right though so many people just throw on bigger turbo's on stock dsm's and ruin there cars. I just picked up a stock gst also and i plan on doing the same thing slowly building it but doing it right!!

my dash is in, looking at doing the carpet now.....OMG, its perfect. I'll add picts when i'm done

i'll look into the FPR if yours is taking it with stock stuff. appreciate the info.
