Hey, so I'm having an issue with my 1g and I'm wondering if it's a tuning issue or something else?
My set up is a 16G Evo3, 225L Fuel pump, 3" GM MAF with Translator, catless exhaust, 650cc injectors, MBC.

The car idles and drives fantastic, 14.7 AR all good, now the problem is when I open to mid throttle and starts to build 1psi of boost on my gauge it leans right to max and sounds like spark blow out (sputtering and no power) I've tried adjusting my MAF-T and 1 click is max lean and one click the other way is max rich

I've replaced plugs and gapped .028, new wires, new coil, new CAS, replaced the ECU with a refurbished one new o2 sensor.

Compression is good and motor was rebuilt new gaskets, bearings, rings, etc.
This was owned by my brother and it use to boost great, I got the car because #1 and #2 piston melted then was given to me and I had it all rebuilt and suggestions on what it could be?

Thank you in advance!

If it's max lean how could it be spark blowout?
1. The mixture exiting wouldn't have ig ited so it's full of fuel.
2. Spark blowout at 1psi?

Max lean indicates lack of fuel or a ton of air from what fuel you are providing. Sort of the same thing but for potentially different reasons. Either pump is failing or fuel pressure isn't rising from a bad regulator, leak at the pump, bad pump.
Alternately one or two injectors could be not firing but seems unlikely since cruise is good.

I recently had an issue with my car
Outside of boost I could drive the car anywhere but the moment you went to roll into it it would buck and pop like a 2 step and wouldn’t go over 4200 Rpms but randomly would be fine.
Long story short I swapped plugs wires and Rewired my fuel pump and got the same results. Sent my injectors out and they were clogged

Yeah I figured it wasn't blow out with such little air movement, I was just stating what it sounded/felt like in similarity. I'll check out the fuel system more to see if I can find anything - I noticed before the wires were cut at the pump and they used a butt connector. Would a weak connection be a problem?

I seen someone mention tps sensor could cause some issues if it's not adjusted either, thoughts on that?

Thank you for your time !

I have a spare set of injectors I'll swap in and try!

Hopefully that works for you. I had a complete new fuel system. Pump, lines , afpr and injectors. Idk if you put a new fuel pump in or not but If the injectors don’t do it I would invest in a new pump as well
