Hey I'm getting my punishment fmic kit installed with a turbonetics bov, 16g, tial wastegate with o2 housing, and catback/downpipe installed...I haven't gotten any injectors or fuel pump yet ... it gonna be necessary if I run low boost for a while or should I just atleast get the fuel pump...just dropped a lot of cash at once so i'm trying to skate by without fuel upgrades for a little...thnx

Best option is to just run wastegate pressure. Save up for ECMLink and then get your fuel mods.

Im not sure why people are running wg pressure this just is a hands down bad idea. If your running over stock boost you need a minumum of upgrade fuel pump, injectors, wideband, boost gauge, datalogger, and some sort of boost contoller. Running off wg is just asking to be bent over and take it up the ***.

ok well i'll just keep the boost at about 12lbs i'm new to the boosted car, since my dd is lancer gts..so once i get used to the car i'll upgrade everything thnx guys

How so? These valves people install on vacuum lines are not boost controllers. A boost controller is in reality an electronic device with a sensor and solenoid that keeps a constant boost level. Still, neither are needed. If a wastegate is big enough, wastegate pressure is all that will ever boost. You don't need to upgrade anything to put on a 16g turbo and run it at its stock boost. If the Tial runs higher, that could be a problem. Still, a boost controller won't lower the boost.

WTF are you talking about. Wastegate pressure for the 16g is about 10lbs which is less than stock. Get your facts straight and until the op gets fuel mods, he should be on waste gate pressure with the 16g because anything higher and he will have at or over 100% injector duty cycle which isn't good.

Remember waste gate pressure is the LOWEST pressure you can run minus removing it.

I have a 16g and broke my MBC so right now I am running off wastegate pressure, and I can say that it will get up to ~15psi but never goes any higher than that.
