Ok, I just bought an EVO3 16G. I plan on installing it and running about 11 PSI for now. I will soon after be doing fuel upgrades in order to get the most out of it. I currently have a Wally 255 and a 95 EPROM ECU. I am going to be buying injectors, ECMLink and a FPR.
This is where I need help. I plan on getting it tuned about 50 miles away, and I want to install the injectors, fuel pump, FPR, and ECMlink myself.
Can I buy ECMlink already set to my injector size, install everything, and then drive the car to the shop or will it need to be tuned to run?

yes you can ... just pull up the link webste and it will explain that they burn the chip to what mods you currently have on your car. Once you install the ecu after link has done its majic, its only a matter of following steps to turn on the car.

Yea, that will be fine. Base pressure for you is 43psi. If you are putting in smaller injectors, those start deadtime/global values ECMlink has for different injectors will be close enough. Just cruise with the car and you'll be just fine.

Good start. What about your drivetrain. Maybe an aftermarket clutch just incase it slip on the dyno more likely it might. VFAQ.com give the answers to most of what you'll need.

When you order/send the ecu in, you'll have them set the injectors to whatever you want them to save onto the ecu then you shouldn't worried about changing it. Just install it and go to your global/deadtime and double check.

I'd go with 1000cc just incase you want to go e85/racegas in the future. Unless you want it around 300-340 whp only, then you should go with 750cc.

Should be ok to drive it to a tuner.

Best of luck.

I would also suggest to go with 1000cc because I have a similar setup to you and am kicking myself now for buying the 680cc.

Yea I plan on 1000cc or larger, e85 station is supposed to open up near me pretty soon. I got the drivetrain covered, XTD stage 4 clutch, with a fairly new rebuilt TRE stage 3 transmission.
