i need to replace the short rubber line that goes from the fuel pump to the hard line. does anyone have a part number or even just the fitting style and thread pitch on both ends so i can have one made?

there is absolutely no way i am putting a 200$ tank to rail kit on this car.

it is for a 95 so a 2g-gst

thanks

You could convert to AN fittings. The fuel line side is easy since all you need is the adapter fitting, but you would need to convert your fuel pump side to AN as well.

There are a million ways to convert the pump side to AN, it just depends on your skill set, budget, and what tools are at your disposal. Check out the links below:

And here's what you need to adapt the stock hard line:

the rubber hose is the only part that is bad. i just need a 12 inch soft line with m14x1.5 inverted flares on both sides. why would i convert to AN to run 12 inches just to convert back to m14? i would hav as much money in adapters as i would a generic tank to rail kit.

i will see if the parts stores around here have crush fittings. in m14x1.5

Why would you convert to AN? Because you aren't going to find a replacement hose outside of getting one custom made, or getting a used one from another car. And, even if you find a hose shop that has the correct fittings (which I doubt), it's not going to be cheap. Hence, the suggestion to get a few AN fittings and a small section of hose. If you think that would cost as much as a tank to rail kit, you need to do a little more research. If you are trying to save a buck, then just go to the junk yard. Otherwise, there is no cheap option. This isn't a part you can just derp on down to Autozone and grab off the shelf.

i continually forget about that. i use to be a chevy k5 and s-10 guy many a moon ago. and i live in a farm town. heck back then if a neighbor didnt have spare parts i could swap for, the parts store was a guarantee.

about the line, i have a friend that works at a hydraulics shop, he can get the ends, having him make me up a quote based on hose i supply and him crimping ends on. looking to be around 40$.

$40 is a good deal. The RCI fitting alone is almost that much. If he comes through, you may want to post him up as a source so others can get these made as well. You definitely aren't the first to be in this situation, and certainly won't be the last.

I'm curious as to where he is getting the hose ends though. That is a fairly rare adapter, and I've never even seen a crimp type inverted flare hose fitting. The thread pitch and size is pretty common, but inverted flare fittings in any flavor don't seem to be. Post an update when you get the new hose.

its a local hydraulics shop, they have access to German, Italian, and all variations of Asian fittings. i will try to get the fitting manufacturer when i talk to him again. unfortunately he will not be able to sell a completed replacement hose as fuel line is not a product they spec and sell, and selling an 'automotive use' product is outside of their liability.

actually i cant even get them to assemble the hose for me, they think they can sell me the ends and loan me the crimp tool though.

this fell apart. the ends are available, but no supplier stocks them and no one wants to buy a crate of them when they can only guarantee a sale on 2 ends. and no hydraulics shop wants to take on the liability to sell a 'auto use' product. selling a complete product so there is no value in this endeavor. there is no profitable way to get from hydraulics shop end to completed fuel line, after the parts were moved from supplier to final location the end product would be around geustimation around 200$. for a 12 inch completed replacement fuel line to go from the sender to hard line.
