Fuel System Issues

My car cut off during normal driving after filling up the tank. Now it will not start but cranks normally. Last week I ran Sea Foam in the tank and it's been hauling pretty good...

I have trouble shot the fuel system and have established that the ECU may be bad ....

So your fuel pump doesn't work now? Have you tried giving it direct power at all to be sure it's not working and did you or a PO rewire the pump at all?

No I haven't.. can I supply power via the plug in the engine compartment?

Fuel pump check connector

I used the "fuel Pump Check Connector" (which was neatly HIDDEN) to turn on the fuel pump via a jumper to the battery. The Pump worked fine BUT the engine wouldn't start.

1. Got Fuel (if ECM/Relay bypassed)

I checked for spark... I disconnected two plugs and gave them the old fashioned screw driver check... No spark there...

2. No spark

Not too many components affect the spark and fuel...

I check the ECM... something this big MUST have some kind of code. "My little helper" diagnogstics PC states "must be pluged in" WTF

YES, I plugged it in... I'm not that stupid...

Just doesn't detect the ECM...


I will continue to trouble shoot down to the component and keep posting till finished.
