Ive noticed this last week i was driving home, My NGK AFR monitor was right around the 14.7 area and i wanted to do a small pull so i dropped it down and when for it, and my car just sat there and sputtered, and noticed my AFR whent straight to lean 16.00 *Its a NGK Monitor* I got home and checked my Fuel Pressure and it was around 20psi. I know that was low so my first guess was the Fuel Pump, i knew it was going out cause fuel wasnt getting delivered. So i replaced it today and checked it again and my FP was right around 30psi at idle, and when i would rev it my brother said it dropped to 20-25psi. When reving the car it would only go to about 3k revs start to backfire and not go any higher. A friend noticed i shot a flame out my exhaust. Ive checked my Plugs and wires and packs and they are fine. I also have new PLugs and wires they are aso NGK. My next idea of problem is maybe a clogged or bad fuel filter, or clogged or bad injector/s. My current Mods are

B16g, Front mount, 560cc injectors, FPR w/ gauge. Aftermarket Fuel Filter. SAFC, NGK Air fuel Monitor NGK Plugs and wires.

Any help appreciated need to get this car back up and running asap.

Thanks.

Any other fuel mods? You hadnt mentioned if you have upgraded fuel pump,,, maybe you do but curious..

Ya my guess would be some kind of clogged fuel filter but I'm not sure how to go about fixing that haha. Oh and I figure since you have an aftermarket fuel filter you atleast have a 190 lph fuel pump like dsm03 mentioned

Sorry forgot to mention that i replaced the fuel pump with a Wallbro255

My fuel mods include.

Fuel Pump- Walbro255
Fuel Lab Fuel Pressure Regulator.
Fuel Filter-not sure the brand, previous owner had it installed.
EVO8 Injectors.

Not sure if it matters but NGK Air to Fuel Monitor, and a SAFC Controller.

ii would say that you either have a cllogged filter or you need to rewire your fuel pump. the crappy stock wiring loses voltage as you rev the car up.

good luck

Well im not sure if the fuel pump has been re-wired from the previous owner, because he originally had the tank taken out and replaced with a cell, and had a external pump put in, but i was able to adjust the FPR back up to the 38-42psi range. it idles smoother and everything but its still chugging under load around 4500 revs.

But thank you guys for the help, much better than my local forum.

how does your exhaust look? do you have a cat? or possibly anything inside blocking the exhaust. this will make your car drive like a freight train so slow.
