You dont need to upgrade to an adjustable regulator unless your stock one is being overran. The only accurate way to determine if your stock fpr is being overran, is to monitor it with a gauge. You are going to want to make sure it maintains the stock preset amount at idle and then make sure it rises 1:1 with the boost level. If it does both of these, then it is not being overran and it OK to use.

A good rule of thumb seems to be that the 190 pump works well with the stock regulator, but the 255 pump overruns the stock regulator.
