My fuel pump does not come on when I turn the ignition to on, or when I crank.

I did the positive to the engine bay connector and it did not come on either.

I CAN turn it on with my logger.

and I CAN turn it on direct from the battery(in the back)

Even though the test says it is not my MPI relay, I already replaced it with a known working one.

I also tried another ecu.

Any other possible solutions?

Thanks

As I recall, the fuel pump won't come on with the key in the "on" position, but it should come on when you crank over the car. Have you checked the ENGINE fuse under the hood (not sure what it's called for a 1g, but that's what it's called on a 2g)? I'm not sure if you'd be able to turn it on through the logger if that fuse was blown, though.

I'd search a bit more, but I think the ECU has to be receiving pulses from the crank or cam sensor or something like that to turn the FP on. Maybe one of those sensors is disconnected or bad.

The ecu has to be getting a signal saying the cam sensor is turning in order for the pump to turn on in a 1G.

Take the cam sensor off the head. Leave the electrical connector connected to it. Turn the ignition to the "on" position. Turn the cam sensor as if the camshaft was turning it. Listen for the pump to turn on.

OK I did that and the fuel pump is working.

When I crank the car though, it cuts out while cranking, like loss of power.

Spark plugs are soaked.

When I disconnect the fuel pump it cranks continious.

When I plug it back in, the car cuts out while cranking.

I put back on my stock regulator,

I also just put on -6an stainless fuel line from the tank to rail.

I'm guessing somethign went wrong there?

What should I look at next??

Thanks!
