Fuel pump upgrade w/ stock inj.

hey guys, i can score a killer deal on a walbro 255lph fuel pump for my car.
i was wondering though, will it be ok to run it with NO other fuel mods, or will i run to rich all the time??
i dont want to get involved in tuning.

you will probabaly run a little rich...if you can afford it just get a SAFC and tune it just a little bit so that you can use ur fuel pump effectively without running rich

I'll buy it but wont install it, first you'll need a fuel pressure regular also.
you'll run too rich making your car sluggish

yeah the 255 I hear will overrun your stock fpr...I am currently running a 190 with a fpr and stock injectors.

How would a 190 work with stock injectors....still rich? Can you use a VR4 stock FPR in place of the stock one? From a quick glance they look very similair.

If you run a 255 lph pump, you need to buy a real AFPR, like the BR unit, the Full Throttle Speed unit, or custom install a SX/Aeromotive style FPR.

A 190 lph pump will work fine with the stock FPR on all 1g's, and most 2g's. However, sometimes you may have an issue overrunning, especially if you rewire the pump and run the stock (small) 2g return hose from the reg to the firewall.
