2G fuel pump upgrade?

ok i just got a 16 g on my 2g and i was thinking about up grading the fuel pump can i just drop a new one in withought injectors and afc and should i run 6or 8na fuel lines to my rail

stock fuel lines are good no need for that

the stock lines are fine no need for that.. I just installed a walbro 255 lph HP that I bought off ebay.. it is a very straight foward install ( the only problem I had was getting the old pump out due to rusted bolts on my FWD TSI) and the fuel line was messed up so I bought some rubber fuel line from NAPA for a buck and new SS bolts to hold in the pump after eveything it was still under $100.......
