I know the fuel pump isn't suppose to do that so i took the fuel rail off with the injectors still in it and had someone turn the key on ( lucky the injectors didn't pop out ) and non of the injectors leaked so i took the fuel return line off and found that fuel was shooting straight out the stock fuel pressure regulator, how do i stop that, do i need to get a new one or can i clean it some how like spray carb cleaner in it or take a air hose to it to blow it out? what should or can i do?

updated profile with all mods would be nice.

are you still running stock pump, regulator, and injectors? sounds to me like you may have a 255 or equal and its over-running the stock regulator

I dont know if theirs a bigger fuel pump but every thing on and in the car is stock, the motor is a 1st gen non turbo that we swap into the 2gen talon and hook all the turbo stuff up to the 1st gen.

so its a 1st gen non-turbo motor in a second gen talon....and you just slapped a stock turbo on the non-turbo motor?

if your using the pump from the second gen...put the second gens regulator on it. also possibly incorrect wiring on the pump. it should only pulse when you turn the key to the start position.{on a 1g...clarification on a 2g? never actually had one...}

Ok. So I think you said you pulled the return line off and fuel is coming out. If thats the case thats supposed to happen. The fuel pressure regulator does what its name is. It regulates fuel pressure in the rail and sends the over pressure back to the tank. If you pulled the vacuum line off and its spraying fuel thats bad. regulator=garbage. But you are supposed to have fuel going back to the tank via the return line to the tank. As for the fuel pump staying on....I would check to make sure the relay isnt fried to the switched position. I have seen lot of relays with water in them do this. Unplug the fuel pump relay first. You should with the key out of the ignition only have one terminal that is a constant power source. With the key on a couple more power sources and then one terminal will be the relays ground. If you have power to most terminals with the key out of the car then you have a bigger problem at hand.
