I am currently in the process of installing a walbro on my 98 gst. I broke the line from underneath so all I have to do is pull the pump assembly out and swap the walbro in. As soon as I unbolted the cover from the pump though, there's on extra connector that I haven't seen before. Here's the image from vfaq:

On mine, however, the white connector is facing 180 degrees the other way and there is ANOTHER connector, held on to the pump assembly with two bolts, positioned roughly where the white one is facing. Its electrical connection is also one of those that have the metal ring around it. So, I have a few questions:

1) What is this connector? I've seen no other mention of it anywhere and my search didn't turn anything up.
2) How do you remove it? Should I just unbolt it from the pump housing or try to disconnect the wiring to it instead? If so, how do you remove connectors that have that metal ring on them?

Thanks everyone!

I did some more digging and its "MD322973" which is apparently the fuel tank differential pressure sensor. Not really sure what it does, but does anyone know how to remove it? I don't want to unbolt it because I imagine it'll have a hell of a time resealing. Anyone know how to remove connectors that have that little metal ring around them? Thanks

I was able to get it out finally. I used two small flat heads to pry it out. Thanks eitherway
