Fuel Pressure regualtor

OK im going to be getting dsm link hopefully sooner then later. Will it do the job of a fuel pressure regulator? And if not are the one's on ebay any good. Any suggestions on which one's to get or where from?

DSMLink can not do the job of a fuel pressure regulator. Go with an Aeromotive FPR.

I dunno if I'd trust something as important as fuel on an Ebay knockoff regulator, since getting fuel all over your engine bay would be bad...

DSM Link can control the injectors themselves, but not the fuel pressure. They make electronic fuel pressure regulators, but they are quite expensive, a pain to install, and not so accurate. Best bet is to contact a speed shop, find out what fuel pressure you should be running with your currents mods, and as "A__Scobel" said purchase a GOOD fuel pressure regulator. Stay clear of FMUs, they are old technology and also unreliable. I'd also recommend Aeromotive or AEM, and make sure you get a rising rate regulator (fuel pressure rises with boost pressure). Now when i get a fuel pressure regulator what can it do for me, and how often should i mess around with the pressure. Should i deffinitely get it, and if so should i get the fpr or injectors first?

You'll need both, but the FPR will handle additional fuel in the beginning. I still recommend both. You need to find out what fuel pressure is adequate for you set up. You'll also need a fuel pressure gauge. manual gauges work fine. once you have the injectors and pump installed, set boost to a safe level and research the pressure level needed to run that desired boost.

The kit came with good instructions and I am very pleased with it.

On a 2G, set the pressure to 43 psi.

I also recently purchased a FPR form import evolution and was very pleased with the kit, instructions, and price. An Aeromotive unit with SS AN fittings, and gauge, clean!

In my car i have a walboro 255lph fuel pump. And my fuel pressure is 14lbs over stock. Should i still get a fpr, and if i were to get one how often would you think i would change it?
