had car dyno they told me car was running to rich changed out fuel rail and injector car still running rich with check engine light on for fuel air mixture..if i install an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator and set the pressure to 43 psi with vacuum line off will this stop the check engine light from coming on with fuel air mixture code?

yes had car dyno with no mod go the car from another guy last year that said he blew the motor because he was running to high of boost so i got a new motor from japan and a new turbo had it dyno because i didnt want to take the chance of blowing this motor....seamed like the right think to do...sorry new to dsm cars so wanted to make sure

Should have just got a boost gauge. Thats the only way to tell how much boost your running. You could have still blown the car up on the dyno, its really no different then taking it out on the street and flooring it to redline in 3rd or 4th.

With nothing to tune with, all that shop did was take your money. There is nothing they could have done to change anything on your car.

What code exactly are you getting? As in whats the number code. Sounds like you have a bad o2. No reason to touch the rail or injectors, unless the injectors were larger then stock.

Run it by advance auto or whatever you have out there. Use their free scanner and find out what codes you have before you start parts placing.

well like i said im new and u are right all they did was take my money but leason learned i guess.....have a boost gauge and im running 12 to 15 psi on boost but the code on the check engine lite is fuel air mixture so it bogs down the turbo at high rpms so im wondering if a ajustable pressure gauge will fix it im getting codes 170 and 1120 and i think 110 but not sure going to run the car again today to find out

well thanks for the info guy will see what i can do and let u know the car is stock right now put alot of money into it with the new motor and turbo but will be up grading it soon motor came with a japan stock turbo that i couldnt use so just sitting in my garage now...LOL

2 codes happen like that one is when you disconnect the stock fpr and add an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator. Second is usally fuel trims depending on the amount of fuel pressure and the tune they did with injectors settings. Make sure it's tuned up right, and engine is up to par.

just replaced upstream o2 takes about a day or two for check engine lite to come on...if thats not it going to replace the stock feul pressure regulator thanks everyone
