i have a 95 GST. i just got it running. i put the factory t25 back on and it has a fmic. when i am in boost, i get a hard jerk. but when i baby it, its fine. i was told maf, boost leak, and fuel pump and fpr. but i need to be certain. any help will be good.

i dont have a boost leak and im boosting 12psi. on stock injectors. car is still stock on t25. just added fmic

Have you done a boost leak test just making sure the clamps are tight isnt enough, it could still be leaking and causing a problem

are you running an aftermarket boost gauge? how do you know you are only boosting 12?

Still doesn't answer the question on whether or not you've done a boost leak... just to verify so we know to rule that out...

If you just added the FMIC, then 99% of the time, its going to be the source...

oh yeah, if you have an intake pipe coupler you can use that instead of the radiator hose in the vfaq and all you'll need is the pvc end cap and the valve stem (i went to goodyear and asked if they had one laying around and they just gave it to me).

Because boost leaks can come from ANYWHERE and you can't trust the fact you tightened everything good. There is always something you can't see or you missed. That's why you HAVE to do a boost leak test. Air that passes through the maf and escapes out of a leak will cause the motor to run rich. This will usually make the car buck or bog, the exact symptoms you are experiencing. Do not come back until you are done with a boost leak test. And use soapy water, it helps a lot.

Not only will the car run rich but the turbo will over work itself to keep the 12psi that you are running. As an example if you had a boost leak at an injector seal, which you cant see unless you do a BLT, the turbo could be working at around 20+psi just to keep 12psi at the manifold. Now when this happens the stock maf gets over ran with airflow and cuts the fuel to save the motor which is what sounds like is happening to your car.
