If he is leaking gas, he needs to replace the tank now.

Second, i, along with a few other friends find their cars to run "differently" when they have less than 1/4 of gas in the tank. I will hit fuel cut more often when my gas is lower. So to answer your question, based on my expierence, yes. All cars are a little different, but for the most part, yes.

Just like if you take a turn fast and gun it, the gas all goes to one side, and sometimes you get a large "jerk" .

yeah thats what it does we took it out last night around a corner and it cut out

Rephrase?
Do you mean there's a hole in the gas tank and it's leaking gas?

yes its leaking gas probalby from the seal from the fill pipe to the tank

Tell your friend he probably shouldnt be driving a car leaking gas from the tank?.:aha:

he just fills itup more than half and it drives fine but when he fills it up to full it leaks

so what do you think guys?

There is a fix for this, get a baffled fuel cell. It is pricey but possible. Get that car off the road until that leak is fixed. Its dangerous to drive it like that, not to you guys only, but other people as well.
