Hey everyone,

When replacing my front control arms, the Bolt that goes up into the frame is completely rusted and stripped.
Its the one that goes up through those little brackets that wrap around the bushing. What are my options, the threads inside look completely toast. Do I find a longer bolt, drill it out and put a nut and washer on the inside?

has anyone else had this problem??

They have nut zert for a rivet gun for the small ones around the large nut and bolt ...... for the large one I would see if you can get to the nut part and have someone weld a new nut in its place ..... but I would have the old nut part completely removed. This is just how I would go about fixing this issue. While your at it you could check the other lower control arm for the same issue and fix them all at once

Here's a nice video about making a threaded insert, if you decide to do it:

He used a lathe to make them but you can get same result using a power drill and a bench grinder.
