So the infamous front-right engine mount bracket on my 2G Eclipse has shorn-off at the bolts and so I am in need of a new one. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this easily and without much hassle? It seems as though I'm going to have to remove the cam belt and jack the engine up so that I can get to the bracket as the engine has dropped 2 or 3 inches on the right-side because the bracket broke. I don't have a trolley jack so the car will undoubtedly have to go to a garage to have the work done, plus it needs to be remapped and tuned since it's running lean

The two bolts that hold together the engine mount and the engine mount bracket are the ones that broke off. I'll find a better picture of it in a second. But the old engine mount bracket has the bolts broken off in it and so I'd need to drill out the bolts and have the mount re-threaded if I was to reuse the bracket, which I'm not planning on doing

The two bolts you can see sticking up are the ones that broke off. The mount itself has the red polybushing on it and is gray whereas the bracket is the part that is bolted onto the mount and black in colour

I've found a set on eBay as I'm getting anxious to drive the car since the mount is the only part holding the car back from being driven :( but thank you for the offer! I have a spare of the mount itself and both of the rear mounts should you or anyone else need them :D As well as a 16G turbocharger rebuild kit and O2 housing and a T25 with a bad thrust seal (hence why the previous owner replaced the T25 with a 20G)

Just got the new mount and bracket in the mail yesterday and everything seems to be in good order! I was just about to ask if the timing belt would have to be removed in order to remove the engine mount, but when researching how to remove the timing belt I saw that the first step was to remove the engine mount. Go figure :D

The only thing is that the engine is dipped towards the front-right of the engine bay because the mount has broken, so I'm not sure how easy it will be to access .... but i'm going to see what I can do. I'm not sure how the engine will be lifted up so that the mount can be reattached either since jacking it up would mean risking putting a dent in wherever the jack is pushing up. Some people have suggested several layers of cardboard or carpet between the jack and the oil pan to spread-out the pressure as much as possible but I'm very hesitant to try this idea WTF

I'll cross my fingers and give it a go LOL it looks like the mount bracket can be removed without having to remove the timing belt or any of the gears the belt attaches to. Is this correct or am I going to have to remove other parts to get to it?
