Front cover/oil pump

I know everyone says to replace this with gears . My question is , why can I not just change the gears out with new ones ? What could be wrong with the cover itself ?

Like any thing else it can wear out.

How does the cover wear out ? It is just a housing . And why are there not any cases already modified for the removed balanced shafts ?

The gears inside rub against the outside of the case. If they start to get worn out and end up getting sloppy then can dig into the case and not only send metal through the motor, also kill the case and oil pump.

The case has nothing to do with the B shaft removal the shoter shaft gets put into a stock case.

If you are think about not using a new case then go ahead but anytime I am that far inot the motor I would put a new one on for piece of mind. I always think of something I heard on this board awhile back.... "How come there is never enough time/money to do it right the first time, but there always seems to be enough time/money to do it again."
