I just finished building my motor. Here's the specs:

W.iseco 9:1 pistons
Eagle Rods
BC 272's
This is a 90, so it has the different CAS setup
PTE gt3255 turbo
3 inch
Stock maf
I have maft, but its not hooked up yet.
Nothing else tuning

Just got the motor in and I'm trying to get it to idle good, but it won't stay in one place. With the CAS about in the middle, and the biss screwjust about all the way out I could get a low idle, but it jumps all over after a while. Now when turning the cas there was a loud clicking coming from what seemed like one of the throttle body sensors. After shutting the car off it did it once also. I just wanna get my car idling normal and go from there

Don't just turn the CAS randomly. You need to use a timing light to set it properly. If you don't have one you should be able to loan/borrow/rent one from most auto parts stores. Use a light and set your timing to 5* BTDC by following this: Engine Timing. Then properly set the BISS by following this: 1G BISS Adjustment.

just saying the initial startup i randomly set the cas. I have never timed one with a timing light, i was shown to do it by throttle response and feel. Yes, i now know thats wrong but it worked for me. im doing both of those tonight

UPDATE:
I did the proper biss adjustment, and set the timing with a light.

When setting the timing with the light, with the pin grounded the mark on the pulley stayed somewhat consistent, and when disconnecting it it jumps around a little.

The car will idle if i help it. Slowly let off the gas until it is about where it should idle and its fine. If i rev it, it dies. Driving, go to stop at an intersection or light, it dies. And when it does idle, the slight rpm drop from pushing the clutch almost kills it. Im out of ideas, and im starting to get mad.

Check for boost leaks and loose a maf connector. Recirc the BOV if its vented. Check to see if your ICS is actually working.

Also, are you using stock injectors? Or are the aftermarket? Are you tuning with anything?

Is your IPS hooked up? Have you checked your ISC yet? Here are two videos which make it very easy to test your ISC.

MAF connector is fine. I have MAFT, but switching between stock maf and maft makes no much difference. Still no good idle. BOV is vented, but because of the intercooler piping and intake i cant really recirc unless i rig it somehow. Havent checked to make sure the ISC is working properly, but if i unplug it i can hear a change. but when i grounded both pins to reset it, i didnt really hear a change

Do you have a GM MAF in blow though, installed post BOV?

My car is a 90, are the isc's different?

Yes, the '90 ISC is different from the 91+ ISC's. The '90 ISC has a herness coming off of it while the '91+ have a plug. There is a way to wire the '91+ to work on a '90 though as seen here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/365040-isc-iac-motor-shopping.html#post152149089

Here is the 1990 ISC:

Yes. It is blow through.
Ok good. Otherwise I was going to say that your BOV being vented was the cause of your problem but as long as your MAF is mounted past the BOV it shouldn't be an issue.
