I have hard cold starts now after doing the free FIAV by pass instructions. I have to hold the gas peddle down a little bit to keep my 93 eclipse N/A idling. Once it warmed up it idles perfectly. Is this normal with a bypassed FIAV?

The FIAV circulates coolant through the throttle body to warm the air charge during cold starts.

The coolant going to the throttle body isn't to warm the tb. It is to open the fiav once the coolant warms up to idle the car down.

This is completely normal for a bypassed fiav. The job of the fiav is to idle the car higher when the engine is cold to aid in warming it up faster and to keep it idling with the rich startup a/f ratio. There is really no reason to bypass the fiav in the first place.

Fixed the mis-information. All better now ^^.

Well im going to undo what I did and try to fix my problem then... Before I did the bypass I was having hard hot starts inconsistently, mainly if it was warm and I let it sit for 30 minutes then try to start it again it would crank 7-8 times before slowly stumbing starting and I'm at the point of giving up on this eclipse. Even turning on the AC my idle dips real low and ISC doesnt increase idle. I've even pulled the ISC and turned the key on only to see the ISC twitch a little (brand new ISC from kragens) any ideas?

Tryed switching the brand new airteck fuel pump back to stock denzo fuel pump only to get the same results before I did bypass. (fuel filter only has 20,000 miles on it)

Has brand new computer coolant temp sensor too
