Annoying cold starts

Well i narrowed my original hard cold starts to a bad fuel pump. Got the pump and filter replaced. Car starts up much quicker.

Now a problem that first came when the weather got cold, and even after the new fp. I go to start it in the morning and it takes 3 tries before the car will stay running. Like i said only occurs when its cold out especially if it was off overnight. Starts up fine after sitting for 8 hours.

It will turn on then less then a sec. later it would die, try it again same results. Depending on how cold it might take 4-5 attempts till it will stay on. Im not even on the throttle, even when i get on the throttle nothing changes.

Im lost, thought maybe it was the ecu cts, but its working fine according to link and scanner.

Im not getting any codes besides for the mdp. I want to figure this problem out before it gets colder out, where it might never start. Others have had a similar problem but they were throwing codes for cam sensor.

Is your CEL on? I had this problem and it was my coolant temp sensor.

that sounds like my girlfriends car which turned out to be the cam sensory i would give it a try if you aint got a cel then you cant really do much but hit and miss

New york, it gets humid there right? it may be your cam sensor, I wouldn't think it would be a CTS just because its not a hot issue, but I may be wrong.
What else does link tell you, tps/idc's look ok?

At times it gets humid, not really an issue this year. This is only a problem when the car sits over night and the weather is cold. That is when the problem started, when the weather got colder.

I really don't want to change the cam sensor if its not the problem, its a pita since its behind the intake cam sprocket.

Tps was just adjusted because it was off by a hair. idc's fine, i had the car basic tuned.

I will post up a cold start log when i get a chance.
