Hey everyone, new to the site. Finally bought the car I have been looking at for what seems like years. A 1g awd dsm! I'm so excited. The bad news is that I bought it with a blown motor. But I'm ok with that. I have started the process of getting the motor ready to pull by taking the exhaust manifold and turbo off. It has a 16g that has seen better days. Which leads me to my question. There is an fp3065 on Craigslist and they are asking 500 for it. It comes with the o2 housing, and I could probably get an evo manifold thrown in for nothing. I have done some research on the turbo and it seem like a pretty serious piece. I am not looking to do anything crazy with my build. I was probably going to go back with a 16g or maybe the 68hta. Is this a good deal? Also, the 68hta is on sale right now for 700... I'm not in a huge hurry, but don't want to pass up a good deal if it's in front of me.

Looks like the turbo ate some debris to chew up those fins! I would wait and buy a turbo that fits your needs (e316g/68hta). Those two turbos pop up in the classified on here all the time for a good price.

He is lying to you!!!

He is trying to sell you a gt4202r! Great turbo. Ran one on my trans am turbo with air Condit.

Sorry, I should of specified. The turbo in the picture is mine. If you search fp3065 in the omaha Craigslist, you'll see the turbo in question.
Thanks for the advice though. I think you are right about waiting though.
