Hey guys I am going to be installing my FP3065 within the next couple weeks and was wondering what the easiest way to do it is? Also for the coolant lines did you guys have to buy some -AN fittings? Which one is the coolant feed and the coolant dump? Any help would be appreciated.
 
I have the turbo on the manifold right now. Just want someone to confirm the lines. The top one is the turbo feed line, the bottom is the oil return line. I am confused about the coolant line. The one that faces the front on the car is the coolant feed line?
 
Heres a picture of how the lines should be assembled. This is on a 6 bolt motor so it's set up a little differently as far as the coolant pipe locations so I tried to correct it to make sense to you. As it looks like you have a 2g 7 bolt, your front coolant pipe looks a little different so I drew in a yellow extension to how yours should look. You should be able to use all the same hard coolant lines from your stock turbo. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I would double check with FP on the best source to use as the oil feed line. I know that when I installed mine I was told that the ball bearing turbo does not require as much oil to function as a traditional turbo and that the cylinder head should be able to supply enough rather than using the oil filter housing. I should point out though that I am on the 3052 setup so the 3065 may require more oil.
 
It's the stock location. Here it is with the banjo bolt removed. The thermostat housing is there on the left, in case you needed to get acquainted with your surroundings.

Wow this thread is getting alot of positive and helpful feedback. Thanks for all the picture they are much easier to understand. Everything is looking alot clearer. I emailed Forced Performance to see which location is best. You would think more oil would come from the cylinder head because its located higher than the turbo?

Incorrect, more oil pressure will come from the oil filter housing. The supply location off the head is basically at the end of the oil run & has the least amount of pressure. This is what you want for the GT center section. The oil pressure off the oil filter housing will be too high as these center sections only like something like 40-45 psi at max rpm. Get the FP feedline from the head & get their inline filter with restrictor. It will be their black inline filter (also now have a red one with a larger restrictor for non BB center sections) & you want to run it the way it comes (ie no drilling required)

For the lines, I used the factory metal lines but bought two supply lines (I believe). One of the metal lines is longer then the other (not 100% sure if its the feed or supply at the moment) & will work on both the feed & return sides, with minimal bending. You can use both factory lines but will require alot of bend on the smaller line to clear the compressor cover. Then just use some rubber fuel hose to reach the factory locations as the factory bent rubber lines won't be quite long enough. I picked up the metal lines new from my local Mitsu for something like $10 each.
 
i agree with not using factory water lines. i use barbed banjo fittings with rubber fuel lines like darren suggested, works great and you can move more water through it as well
