fp red ?

ok i searched the forum and what i found i didnt get much insight out of it. Can anyone give me info on the fp red. Everything i found was old so some new insight would be nice.

Garrett to4e compressor housing, 60-1 garrett compressor wheel, mitsu tdo6 turbine wheel. What more do you need to know? Old or new, the red is the same and info hasnt changed really.

Personally I think the red is outdated and not for a street car but if your getting it used or something, and want an all out street car then go for it.I say pick up a 3065 tho and be done with it.What are your goals?

well i have a gst so too much power is no good for a street car. i was also looking at the 3052 as well. i also wanted to know spool rates on the red with cams on it too. i want 40 wheel on pump gas or little more.

I don't know alot of info on the FP red but based on the first sentence you posted above, the FP red probably isn't the turbo for you. It will probably be huge overkilll for you & what kind of spool times are you expecting, as I would expect it would easily be 4500+ rpms (a local was running one a few years back & think he was more like the 5000K range, IIRC). If all your looking for is 400whp, the red would be way overkill. If you want to stay in the same price range, so far it sounds like the FP Green would be much better suited. I have the FP3052 & think its a great street & strip turbo but it can add up to alot more then the Red/Green.
