Curious what the heck you 6bolt guys do to get the water lines to work on fp3065 or guess 3052 on 6 bolt.I bought new 1g lines thinking they will work and them might but likely have to hack them up pretty good.Is this what I should do.Its not a big deal and what is the proper rubber hose to use size and type?

I really think FP needs to make some custom water lines as options for these fp 30s.
Also anyone with 2.4 and FP3052 or 3065 know if the blue fp oil return will work ok since the block is taller?
I am debating making stainless an line as found place that sells the turbo and oil pan fittings.

I've got SS an lines for my 3565. They look a lot nicer and should perform well.

So you made them up or bought them somewhere..is fp making them now?How about a bit more details..??:D

I talked to one guy localy here who installed that turbo. He said he used his panjo fittings and hacked them off and just used clamp on AN line.

Not sure if that helps, ill be finding out myself soon!

I used the stock 14b cooler lines, just had to bend them a little bit. I didn't have to cut them eather.

Hmm the one u shaped line that goes to water pump looks doable that way the other line behind the turbo looked pretty darn far out was thinking hacking up one of my 2g lines but if you said it works with just some bending as long as dont hurt water flow by bending it too much..It not rocket science of course but just think FP should offer some pretty line kits.

AL92, this is what I used to make my own kit.

1. 14mm(please verified size with stock banjo bolt) banjo to -6an hose end, 14mm aluminum crush washers and used the stock banjo bolt for both the inlet and outlet on the turbo.

2. Return to waterpipe: 16mm x 1.75 male (again, please verified with the stock return line, it's been a while) to -6an male adaptor, 90 degree -6an female to -6an hose end.

3. Feed: The -6AN hose was too small to fit over the 1/4" fitting on the thermostate housing so I ran the SS line to above the intake pipe to a "-6an hose end to 1/4" adaptor, then loopped an coolant house from there to the thermostate housing just like stock.

I'm going by memories (not much left :D ) here so definitely verified the sizes of the two fittings I pointed out above. This was not the most economic way to do it but it looks very clean, and was well worth my efforts.

I bent the one 14b line behind the turbo and it worked ok. I cut the u shaped line that goes to water pipe but the rubber line is rested on the turbo compressor housing. Will this burn up?
I have buddy with speed shop think get a stainless made for that one maybe both shortly.
I would think could wrap the rubber line with heat tape or something for temporary maybe? or just extend a rubber line more away from the turbo housing?

I can't for the life of me get my return bent right. Im using the FP blue oil return and its bigger than stock and interfereing with the water line.

Hey Oldman,

I know this is an old thread. Im in need of some pics of this if you could spare the time to post one up I would greatly appreciate it. Im trying to do a clean set up and what I have right now is contrary to that.

Damn it Beavis....I just put everything back in the car last week. :) It will be difficult to take picture of the back side, inlet side, but give me a couple of days and I will post up something.

It will be much appreciated. I cant seem to find a 14mm brass barbed fitting to use. Everything is Standard size. :notgood:
